Dr. Katie Julien has been setting the highest standards of excellence in orthodontics for nearly 25 years. An esteemed member of the orthodontic community, Dr. Julien is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is also a member of many leading dental and orthodontic organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontics, the Angle Society, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
After she sold her highly successful practice in Anchorage, Alaska, Dr. Julien relocated to McKinney. In addition to opening her practice, Simply Smiles Orthodontics, Dr. Julien also became a full-time faculty member at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. She teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate orthodontic programs and is the clinic director for the Graduate Department of Orthodontics.
Because of her involvement in educating new orthodontists, Dr. Julien is well versed in cutting-edge technology and incorporates it into her private practice. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Julien has published numerous research papers on such topics as chewing efficiency, enamel protection during orthodontics, and Invisalign® treatment.
Dr. Julien lives on a small ranch north of Dallas where she has dogs, cats, several head of cattle, and a large garden. In her spare time, Dr. Julien enjoys spending time with her husband of more than 25 years, Steve, and their three children: Thomas, William, and Kathryn. She also enjoys gardening, reading, interior design, and fishing.
